2009 – We enter the Serengeti and see some Coke’s Hartebeest. The one upfront is winking at me. Other than that, not much else. We are starting to worry that we won’t see many animals during this extremely dry season.

Now…excitement soon returned. We spot two photogenic cheetah near the road way. Our guide tells us they are two brothers. They actually enjoyed our attention and didn’t seem bothered by the many photos we were taking.

Radio Collar – Shortly after seeing the cheetah we see a lion. She is only feet from our vehicle, enjoying her dinner. We noticed she was wearing a radio collar. This is an essential tool used in the Serengeti to monitor the state of the lion population. Her dinner is a Thomson’s Gazelle. She is eventually tired of our interruption and carried her kill off to a more private eating area

Awww, the cheetah brothers are so cute 😍

We saw so many cheetahs all over places in Africa. Maybe you should go on Safari to see these cheetahs. Ha!

I’ve never been much interested in going to Africa, with the exception of Egypt and Kenya. Isn’t the Serengeti in Kenya?

The Serengeti is in Tanzan. But we also visited Egypt too.

Oops! Why did I think it was in Kenya? They are neighbors, yes? I’ll consult a map strait away! Thanks!
