Portuguese Man of War

We were on the boat with our family and looked over the edge of the boat and noticed it was named Portuguese Man of War. The man-of-war comprises four separate polyps. Our son told us they are covered in venom-filled nematocysts and are excruciatingly painful.

Ryan jumped in the ocean and dragged him out of the water. Made us nervous but he killed him.

Cheers to you Ryan.

  1. What a hero! Portuguese Man of War aren’t to be messed with. Never encountered one, but I’ve heard the painful tales of getting stung. Thankfully, you were safe in the end!
