We come here often during all the seasons. Every time we visit I can’t stop taking photos.

We all wonder where the name Peggy’s Cove originated . Some think it is a nickname of Margaret …which is near St. Margaret’s Bay. Another story suggests the village may have been named after the wife of an early settler. The popular legend claims that the name came from the sole survivor of a shipwreck near the cove, A little girl too young to remember her name and the family who adopted her called her Peggy. The young shipwreck survivor married a resident of the cove in the 1800’s and became known as “Peggy of the Cove” and now it is called Peggy’s Cove.

Beautiful pictures of such a lovely area. Hoping to visit Nova Scotia sometime soon.
