BERMUDA- EARTH DAY

Earth Day was founded in 1970 as a day about environmental issues. Earth Day 2023 will occur today and the 53rd anniversary. The holiday is now a global celebration that’s sometimes extended into Earth Week, a full seven days of events focused on environmental action and sustainable living.

In this area people are picking garbage on the beach in Bermuda.

  1. If we believe in the Restoration of Ecosystems, the celebration has great meaning because they support all forms of life on Earth. The health of our planet and its inhabitants directly depends on the health of our ecosystems. Although apparently there is not much information about this important day. I say this because I have read very little in international newspapers. Have a happy Sunday.

      1. Oui Anita.

  2. Happy Earth Day! I remember the first one vividly. In our high school we celebrated our Earth and sang to it, promising to always take care of our home. All these years later, we all still need to be reminded that the EARTH must be revered.

  3. Thank you for sharing!!.. when I were growing up on the farm (1940’s, ’50’a and ’60’s) my dad always said “if I take care of the land, the land will take care of me” and today I still try to take care of the land… 🙂

Hope your journey’s are filled with peace, joy and love and until we meet again..
May the sun shine all day long
Everything go right, nothing go wrong
May those you love bring love back to you
May all the wishes you wish come true
    May peace be within you
    May your heart be strong
May you find whatever you’re seeking
    Wherever you may roam

  4. There are so many ways to honour Earth Day every day. We went to our local beach for a beach cleanup (it’s actually something we do weekly) – if only every human being did one green thing every day, it would all add up. Thanks for sharing and Happy Erath Day. Aiva 🙂 xx

  5. I haven’t taught elementary school for years. But Earth Day was a great theme opportunity and would last a week. I am sure it is stressed in school even more today. Or at least it should be. 🙂
