I enjoy seeing these cardinals hiking around in the park. Husband and Wife are happy together. I sometimes hear a melodic whistle in the tree tops. It is most likely the cardinal song. Male cardinals are relatively easy to spot with their red feathers. Females are a rusty brown with red tinges.

In KY I always saw red one. In Maine I saw green one. When I googled I learned green one is female.
