Now in Hoi An, a 3 hour drive from Hue. Near Da Nang was the largest city , which was once a huge base for the American troops during the Vietnam Nan War. The beach was named the China Beach by the American Troops.

PAGODA WE STOOD AT THE TOP OF MARBLE MOUNTAIN AND CAUGHT OUR ATTENTION

Later we walked this area and we enjoyed our lunch in this area.

Growing up, my parents adopted a boy from Vietnam. He was older than me and became like a big brother. He’s done well for himself, becoming a computer engineer, raising a family, and now his Mother and sisters live in Canada too.

That’s wonderful he was adopted. They all live here in Canada. Maybe it was a terrible tragic War in Vietnam.

Our son visited Vietnam several years ago with Loc and another young man. Loc was one of the last children out of the country. They visited Nha Trang, where my husband was based 1969-70, taking a circular path around Vietnam, as well as staying in homes near China because Loc knew the language.
