Salamander – Nova Scotia

We walked along the trail and on the pathway my puppy Zoe found this dead Salamander.

Salamanders are common here in Nova Scotia. To me it looks like a lizard. I realize there are approximately 600 known species around the world, and Nova Scotia is home to five of them.

  1. He’s so pretty! We have lots of salamanders here in Northern California, too, although the ones I see are usually red with yellow bellies 🙂
