We walked along the trail and on the pathway my puppy Zoe found this dead Salamander.
Salamanders are common here in Nova Scotia. To me it looks like a lizard. I realize there are approximately 600 known species around the world, and Nova Scotia is home to five of them.

At first I didn’t notice that it’s dead … but I suppose if it was alive, it wouldn’t sit so still for the photo.
