Bunker’s Island is a peninsula located in Yarmouth Harbour. The Lighthouse which is nicknamed Bug Light. It was erected in 1874 and built on a rock filled base.
The lighthouse bell had a 1,500-pound weight on it and had to be wound up every six hours by hand. The lightkeepers dory was pulled up at night and hung on davits.

I love lighthouses. This one is awesome! We have some beautiful ones here in New England.

This also reminds me of my wonderful time in Portland seeing all of the lighthouses, they’re so beautiful! I didn’t get so lucky with such a clear day.

Hi I saw your picture of the lighthouse and it reminded me of the lighthouses in Portland ME harbor which there are 5. Also there is a Bug Light there and your lighthouse looks like the Spring Point Ledge Light. Great post thanks
