Liverpool – A perfect get away . When we arrived in about two hours we discovered the Hank Snow Museum…his hometown. This was a fascinating site to see.
When we entered we were the only two visitors there. That was a Wow! The Museum is housed in old isolated Rail Station.
A lot of history regarding his background. He was a member of the Grand Ole Opry for 40 years. His song “I’m Movin’ On,” died at 85 , Dec 21, 1999. We will always miss him.

Hank gave Elvis a big boost to his career by giving him a spot on the Grand Ole Opry. He influenced the directors to allow him to use the rising rockabilly star Elvis Presley as an opening act. Elvis went on to tour numerous times on the Hank Snow All-Star Jamboree tour

Oh I loved Hank Snow. So fun to read more on him today 🙂

“I’m movin’ on” is one of my favorite country songs. Back when country was country and included bluegrass.
