Pat, Zoe (doggy) and I drove to Digby from Halifax this morning. It was about 2.5 hours to arrive. Such a great getaway for us.
In 1783 Digby by the United Empire Loyalists led by Rear Admiral, Sir Robert Digby. The early settlers from New York and New England named the town in honour of their benefactor.
We checked into a Motel where dogs are permitted. It is an old motel but clean and comfortable and walking distance to the harbour front.

We had an a fabulous lunch at the Fundy Restaurant with views of the harbour. Digby is famous for the scallops harvested from here. The scallop wrap was so delicious.

Looks like a beautiful place! Your meal looked delicious, too. 🙂

Thanks for sharing your adventures and wonderful pictures!!… hope you and your family had a wonderful experience… glad IDA waited so you could have pleasant weather… 🙂
Until we meet again..
May the sun shine all day long
Everything go right, nothing go wrong
May those you love bring love back to you
May all the wishes you wish come true
May peace be within you
May your heart be strong
May you find whatever you’re seeking
Wherever you may roam

How can dogs not permitted in these places? I mean dogs love beaches and those motels really need to be more welcoming to pets. ‘They want to walk the beach too just like humans.

Now that would be a place for me to visit, too. Except for eating scallops. I’ve never been able to adjust to their taste.
