We sailed towards McNab’s Island today and took a hike around. We picked up some Snails (Escargot) on the beach. I will cook them tonight.

In the distance we noticed a Lighthouse located on Maugher Beach also known as “Hangman’s Beach”. We learned the Navy during the Napoleonic War in the mid 1700’s hung bodies of executed mutineers as a warning to crews of ships entering the harbour.

I’d love to see a picture of the snails that you collected for cooking! I wouldn’t know where to start…is there a specific kind?
