Heracleum lanatum- is a member of the carrot/parsley family, and like giant hogweed, produces sap containing chemicals that can irritate human skin. If you rub your eyes it could it could be very deadly
I was given a few of these years ago and thought they were beautiful .I rubbed my face and it caused irritation to my skin.

There’s a lot of wild parsnip here, in central Ontario, too. 😦

I’ve always been afraid of picking berries I find on a trail because I don’t know what is/isn’t poisonous.

We had some in our area and people of the neighbourhood went out to eradicate them. I read that any patches of skin that this plant irritates can take a long time to heal and are photosensitive so that if the sore spot is exposed to sunlight it can flare up again. It sounds like one wicked plant.
