Again we take our tour with TNK Travel. I love seeing rice paddies from our bus window.
Arriving at My Tho we board our boat with twenty others. Our thirty minute boat ride gives view of other boats and stilted houses along the water.

Tortoise Islet, Mekong Delta
We stop here and have lunch in a Fruit Orchard. Pork, veggies and rice. All good. After lunch we board a Sampan row boat with two other passengers aboard. A quiet and peaceful waterway through the jungle and shaded with coconut palms.

Upon arrival we walk to a bee farm. Servers bring trays of bees that begin buzzing around. To me that’s a YIKES! We are served honey tea and kumquats. Tasty but I am ready to leave.
Next we learn about Snake Wine. We are told it will improve our health. My husband sampled the wine and had the snake draped around his neck! Not for me!

The view of the homes on stilts looks like a National Geographic show. I’ve always wanted to go to Viet Nam.

The boat rides would be my choice! I’ll pass on the big snake even though I kept them years ago… 😊
