Happy Chickadees

The chickadee’s black cap and bib. They have white cheeks; gray back, wings, and tail; and whitish underside with buffy sides are distinctive. They are all around our neighborhood.

      1. I looked and looked and couldn’t find any photos of what we called chickadees. They were fatter than sparrows and completely round. Obviously we were calling them by the wrong name. They were about the only birds that came out during the winter there. One of life’s mysteries….
