We went to the Valley a couple of weeks ago and we found this site Nictaux Falls near Middleton, Nova Scotia. A very cloudy day with a bit of a drizzle but autumn colors seem more vivid in these conditions .

Exquisite vistas with the beautiful autumn colours! What are the solid looking concrete structures hiding beyond the trees? At first I thought one a waterfall!

It was an old worn down structure..and bits of it are still surviving. The brook is flowing down the hill.

Almost fooled me till I had a closer look, it adds some subtle intrigue to the shot. Everything is greening up here now, so much spring rain lately.
