Digby, Nova Scotia December 2020 five scallop fishermen drowned when their boat had suddenly capsized in the Bay of Fundy during the snow storm.
On our visit here today ..it is a heartbreaking site to see.

It was so heartbreaking for the community to loose these men just before Christmas.

I am just finishing off a series of posts about a trip I made round the Maritimes in 214 and was having a look to see what other bloggers had written when I discovered this. I loved Digby and this is so sad, it is no wonder there are so many seafarers memorials all over the region as the seas there are treacherous.

Sometimes it’s forecasted to be a little wind, but it turns out to be much bigger than that. Poor men. They risk their lives to make a living.
