So many amazing restaurants with in the Walled City. My tof wo favorites are Zaitun Cartagena, rated #4 of 860 restaurants and Montsacro Resto is fabulous too. The outside Terrace overlooks Bolivar Square. Both restaurants have live music
STEAK PASTA WITH PESTO
SEAFOOD TOMATO ZUCCHINI
Christopher Columbus
Located in the center is the statue of Christopher Columbus. In 1502 Christopher Columbus explored the coast of what is now Panama. This country is named Colombia in his honor. Not a history buff, however it is very interesting.
oh that food looks so delicious-it is making me hungry 🙂

Cartagena is a great place to visit, one of the must-sees in Spanish colonial style. It’s beautiful, it’s authentic, it’s well restored, but there’s no local life in the historic centre anymore, everything is done for the masses of tourists. This is something to be aware of, but it is still worth going there.

We were there last year..great food and very historic. But everyday the cruise ships arrive and so many tourists show up.

I’ve seen the same cruises come into Mykonos and Santorini recently, and invade the narrow streets. There is sometimes a feeling that they are not really legitimate to visit the city 🙂

The buildings give the place character, but I’d go just for the meat and pasta!

I’ve been to Categaena several times. I really like the town square.
The artists selling their paintings and the fruit carts are fun.
I had a cafe in the afternoon for a pick me up and was up for houes. Strong!!!
We never ate at a formal restaurant since we were on cuises each time we went there.
I have several friends who are from Columbia. We’re always making plans but then COVID hit.
Food looks yummy. The statue is grand, isn’t it? Did you see the Botero sculpture. It’s very large.
Nice selections, Anita. Have a beautiful week … Isadora 😎

There was an exhibit at a museum in St. Peterburg, Florida of many of his sculptures and paintings. He admires and creates his artwork around the voluptuous women. I purchased his book because I found that interesting. Hope you get the opportunity to go back again. Isadora 😎

It was a temporary installation. I haven’t been there since COVID decided to visit. Hubby and I, since we’re retired artists, enjoy visiting museums. Be Safe 😷 Isadora 😎
