CARTAGENA – Amazing Food and Sites to See

So many amazing restaurants with in the Walled City. My tof wo favorites are Zaitun Cartagena, rated #4 of 860 restaurants and Montsacro Resto is fabulous too. The outside Terrace overlooks Bolivar Square. Both restaurants have live music

Christopher Columbus

Located in the center is the statue of Christopher Columbus. In 1502 Christopher Columbus explored the coast of what is now Panama. This country is named Colombia in his honor. Not a history buff, however it is very interesting.

  1. I didn’t have much time in Cartagena to enjoy the food, but the dishes you had look delicious! I’m glad that you had a fun time there. 🙂

  2. Cartagena is a great place to visit, one of the must-sees in Spanish colonial style. It’s beautiful, it’s authentic, it’s well restored, but there’s no local life in the historic centre anymore, everything is done for the masses of tourists. This is something to be aware of, but it is still worth going there.

      1. I’ve seen the same cruises come into Mykonos and Santorini recently, and invade the narrow streets. There is sometimes a feeling that they are not really legitimate to visit the city 🙂

      1. There was an exhibit at a museum in St. Peterburg, Florida of many of his sculptures and paintings. He admires and creates his artwork around the voluptuous women. I purchased his book because I found that interesting. Hope you get the opportunity to go back again. Isadora 😎
