  1. Lovely shot! Deer were introduced to Tasmania and were protected, but now they have become a feral pest destroying native bush. However, there are still restrictions on shooting them and you aren’t allowed to sell the meat.

      1. I’m guessing at least in Nova Soctia, they belong there and the environment is better adapted to them. I think they initially became feral here when some escaped deer farms. They are beautiful animals and while I wouldn’t hunt them myself, I do love venison and think they could be better managed and utilised here. Happy hunting – with your camera of course 🙂
