Orangutans – Kota Kinabalu- Malaysia

We are told that Orangutans have a 96% match genetically to humans. Seeing them in action, it is easy to believe they are a match to humans.

Rangers place food on a platform a short way from us. Within minutes it attracts two young Orangutans. They swing above our heads like trapeze artists. All of us are watching with our faces turned upwards. Then this little male Orangutan swings above us and showers us with his pee.

At the end we are rewarded when this young male Orangutan , who is more brazen than his sister, comes near us and drinks a bottle of milk with a vitamin mix. You can see his little sister on the left, watching him.
