Colombia – Best Hotels Ever

Cartagena -Hotel Boutique las Carretas

Our flight delayed 30 minutes. We drove all around the airport by bus to reach arrivals. Our Hotel airport pickup was a great choice. He was there waiting for us for an hour. Such a friendly driver.

This hotel was a perfect pick for us. Located within the main gates of the walled city. The historic design of our room with comfy beds and a balcony with a table and chairs overlooked the old city. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the view below. Staff were very friendly and helpful pointing us in the right direction on our walk about. Breakfast included offers a wide variety of options, fruit, breads, pastries, eggs and new items each day.

Bogota – Hotel Porton – Zona Rosa

Spectacular hotel…more than expected. We were upgraded to an Executive Suite, through Expedia. We have a living room with a couch and coffee table, a dining area, and a counter top with a fridge, sink, and kitchen utensils. The bedroom has a king size bed, Large Spa tub in the bathroom. Downstairs there is a nice pub area…our choice for dinner and a restaurant. The breakfast was huge with a large variety to choose from .

  1. Ah, don’t you just love a beautiful hotel room! It’s great when a hotel room has a balcony overlooking the city or even just a busy street where one can sit and people watching at the end of a long day exploring new places πŸ‘πŸ».

  2. I’ve only been to Bogota and surrounding area (twice, for work), but now I feel that I should have made an effort to visit Cartagena too.
