Our journey to James Bond Island is by long tail boat. Twenty of us on board. Amazing views from the water. Claim to fame is due to its starring role in the James Bond Movie …The Man with the Golden Gun. Actual name of the island is Khao Phing Kan.
Our first stop, Talu Island, Phang Nga Bay. Here we take our dinghy boat trip in and around the Sea Caves. We have a fifteen year old little guy rowing our boat. Such a tiny boat. We could hardly fit. With no seats, we have to sit on the floor of the rubber dinghy. Fabulous water views and worth the uncomfortable ride.
Our long-tail boat takes us on to Ping-Gan. A place to have time to enjoy the views of the famous James Bond Island. A lot vendors selling trinkets and pearls. I buy two sets of entwined pearls. I regret not buying more. Oh well….no way to go back in time.
Our last stop is Koh Panyee, known as the Muslim Village. We are starving! The food is incredible! Way more than expected. Huge crispy shrimp, Chicken skewers, stir fried veggies and more.
Once again no good options with pearls here. Contained in a shop attached to the restaurant. Definitely a tourist trap. No wonder, with tons of tourists that travel here.
The boat ride back to the pier is wonderful. Amazing views of the islands from the water.
Nice story. I have ben there many times 🙂
