(2018) -Medina is named the “Silent City, because at one time it was the capital of Malta, but after the Great Siege it lost its role. The seat of government is located in Valletta for security.

Medina is a beautiful walled city. For most part transportation is by foot and horse and carriage. The streets are narrow, the stone buildings and walls are high. We are transported to a different space and time. The walk about in itself is a Museum. Charming narrow passageways paved in stones worn smooth over thousands of years by foot traffic and horse hooves.
Walking the viewing wall gives a panoramic view of Sliema, Valletta and Comino. Perfect photo opportunity.
