Hong Kong – Star Ferry

Star Ferry

Today we ride the Star Ferry across Victoria Harbour from Hong Kong to Kowloon.  This service has been in operation since 1888. Popular with tourists and locals. Research says the ferry service carries over 70,000 passengers per day.

It is a short 15 minute walk  from our Ibis Hotel Sheung Wan to Pier 7 on the waterfront. The walk itself was enjoyable with great views along the way.

The upper deck was a good choice. Only 2.6 HKD return and easy to pay with our Octopus Card. We rushed ahead of the crowd to catch a seat by the water. Popular spot for Tourists.

The view from the upper deck is incredible. A short 8 minute run but is easy to get back on. For us as it is an actual tour from the water.
